Our Story

Our kayak journey started in a downtown condo in Edmonton, Alberta. On a whim, we booked an overnight canoe trip down the North Saskatchewan river from west of the city in Genesee to Emily Murphy Park. We loved experiencing our area from the water, but didn’t love our options to rent canoes or store our own. We bought a pair of Bestway inflatable kayaks to take to Yukon in 2017 and were hooked. As recreational paddlers, the inflatables made it easy to get from downtown to water, but were affordable enough that we didn’t feel bad that we only made it out of the city a handful of times a year. 

While Honeymoon Lake and Muncho Lake are certainly highlights of water we’ve had the pleasure to get into because of our inflatables, we still love paddling through our city down the North Saskatchewan River.
